The Advantages and Benefits of Poly Fibre Resin
The lifespan of Botanica's lightweight poly fibre resin pots and water features is much longer compared to concrete, ceramic, plastic and other products. Plants also grow taller and develop more naturally in Botanica resin planters:
- The roots in resin planters stay warmer in winter and cooler in Summer compared to cement and ceramic planters (Plants prefer consistent temperatures and moisture levels)
- Resin planters are waterproof, which requires less watering and the roots are less likely to dry out - with the porous nature of cement and ceramic pots (unless sealed, which adds costs), the roots have a tendency to dry out and grow into the pores, exerting great pressure on the pot until it cracks
- Poly fibre resin planters can withstand extreme temperatures, such as desert and snow conditions. Cement and ceramic pots tend to crack under these conditions, especially if they are inferior quality.
Botanica's resin garden pots and water features have an expensive and unique finish, whereby metal, marble and granular materials are embedded into the container, resulting in consistent colouring throughout. The major advantages include:
- Durability and longevity - in the unlikely event that the products gets damaged, it still looks good, unlike cement products where you can see the chips and cracks as the painted colour is thin, and the colour below is also different
- Ceramic and cement products are easily damaged or chipped and need to be repainted or discarded
- Botanica's finishes will oxidise and age naturally on an ongoing basis, adding unique character to the product
- Botanica's finish is UV-resistant
